Large-Scale Surveillance System Expansion for JW Marriott in Scottsdale, AZ

AZ CCTV & Security partnered with JW Marriott Scottsdale to expand and enhance the resort’s video surveillance infrastructure, improving long-term video retention, operational visibility, and security coverage across multiple high-traffic and sensitive areas of the property. This project focused on strengthening recording capacity, deploying an additional high-capacity NVR, and installing new cameras across key resort zones to support improved safety, asset protection, and incident response throughout the property.

NVR Storage Expansion – Existing 64-Channel System

 To extend video retention and improve long-term evidence availability, AZ CCTV & Security added two (2) 8TB hard drives to the resort’s existing 64-channel NVR. This storage expansion was engineered to achieve an estimated 30 days of video retention while improving overall system reliability and increasing capacity for continuous recording across multiple cameras. This upgrade ensures the resort can maintain extended historical footage for investigations, compliance, and internal review without sacrificing performance.

New 32-Channel NVR Installation – Security Office

To further scale system capacity and support additional cameras, a new 32-channel Network Video Recorder (NVR) was installed in the Security Office. This system was equipped with two (2) 10TB hard drives, providing an estimated 30 days of video retention and delivering centralized video management, redundancy, and future expansion capability. The new NVR creates a scalable foundation for ongoing security growth as the resort’s surveillance needs continue to evolve.

Multi-Zone Camera Installation Across Resort Property

AZ CCTV & Security provided full cabling and labor for thirteen (13) new cameras installed across critical resort locations, including areas around the Security Office, multiple dock zones, the Arizona Ballroom patio and parking lot, spa entry points, and several golf course locations such as the bag drop, cart storage, and food and beverage docks. An existing interior cart storage camera was also repositioned to improve its field of view. These placements were strategically selected to enhance coverage of employee access points, delivery and service docks, guest activity zones, parking and traffic flow areas, and resort logistics corridors.

Professional Cabling, Routing & Infrastructure Integration

All required low-voltage cabling for the new camera installations was professionally routed and secured in accordance with industry best practices. Each camera was connected to the nearest IDF location to maintain clean network topology and minimize cable runs. Cabling was carefully fastened, labeled, and organized to support long-term reliability, ease of service, and future system expansion.

Cable Termination & Secure Connections

Every cable run was professionally terminated, labeled, and tested to ensure strong and consistent signal transmission throughout the system. Proper termination and secure connections were implemented to reduce signal loss, minimize maintenance issues, and support dependable camera performance across both indoor and outdoor resort environments.

Equipment Installation & Camera Deployment

Our team handled the complete installation of all system components, including the new 32-channel NVR, the two (2) 10TB hard drives, the two (2) 8TB hard drives added to the existing 64-channel NVR, all thirteen (13) cameras, and all associated mounting hardware and accessories. Each camera was carefully mounted, aligned, and positioned to provide optimal coverage, clear image quality, and reliable performance across the resort’s diverse operating areas.

Following installation, AZ CCTV & Security completed full system configuration to ensure seamless operation and integration of all devices. This included NVR setup, camera channel assignment, recording schedule optimization, storage configuration, network configuration, and secure remote access setup for authorized personnel. Security Team Training & System Walkthrough

To ensure ease of use and long-term operational confidence, we provided hands-on training for JW Marriott’s security and management personnel. Training covered live camera viewing, video playback and search, footage export, system navigation, remote access operation, and basic troubleshooting. This ensured the team could confidently operate and manage the expanded surveillance system from day one.
